Tommy and Regina Harrison

Feb 15, 2023

The Shoe Tree located outside of Pogue Library has been an ongoing tradition for couples who met at Murray State and eventually got married.

Regina Harrison ('92) shared about meeting her husband Tommy.

"Picture it, August 1987. While not a Racer, my future husband was helping move into the dorms. After a long day, he got down on one knee to propose, outside Elizabeth Hall, next to the bridge. I said yes, of course and 35 years, 2 kids, and 2 grandchildren later, we are still together. Sidenote, our daughter's middle name is Elizabeth in honor of our proposal spot."
