This endowed scholarship, established in 2019, provides financial assistance for nursing students with at least one parent from an underrepresented population and who has experience and background in a multicultural environment.
Inspiration
Lucretia M. McClenney has dedicated her entire professional life to serving our nation’s men and women who have served and are serving in our uniformed armed services and their families. She served with distinction for 30 years in the Army in various medical treatment facilities worldwide before retiring in 2001. Since that time, she has remained committed to veterans and their health care, serving in numerous capacities for organizations including the Veterans Administration and the Congressionally mandated Commission on Care. It is her hope that this scholarship will help students like she once was herself pursue the rewarding career of nursing.
