This four-hour interactive workshop focuses on developing a better understanding of the millennial generation and how to engage them in the community and workplace. Participants will learn about the millennial generation’s motivations, workplace preferences and attributes they find desirable in companies and communities. The cost to participate is $35 for those who register prior to Feb. 14 and $50 for those who register between Feb. 15 and March 2.

“Town & Gown recognizes the importance of providing professional development opportunities that are both effective and affordable,” Brunn said. “As the millennial generation is the largest generation to enter the workforce since the baby boomers, this timely topic will offer our business leaders some insight into the diverseness of this generation.”

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks will lead the workshop. In addition to Hendricks’ civic work as the second-youngest mayor of Hopkinsville, he serves as the president and CEO of Momentum Consulting, an organization responsible for helping non-profit organizations and small businesses develop systems, processes and talent to produce maximum impact and profit.
