Small Teaching Techniques: Using Minute Papers for Teaching and Learning (LOL Brown Bag)

Faculty Development Center

107C Applied Science Bldg

Have you heard of Minute Papers, but aren't sure where to start? Do you question when to utilize them in class or wonder if they actually benefit students?

Join R&I Librarian, Dana Statton, as she walks you through the process of developing strong Minute Paper questions, explains why certain types of questions are better suited to the beginning or end of your class, and shows how Minute Papers increase deeper learning, leading to better understanding of your material and stronger information retention.   During this session, participants will:

  • review how to incorporate Minute Papers into lesson plans.
  • create their own Minute Paper questions for their classes.

Lunch will be served.
