Health and Physical Education — Non-Certification Track

It can be so rewarding to help young people be healthy and fit. If your desire is to help children become confident, skillful and physically active movers for a lifetime, consider a degree in health and physical education. Murray State’s undergraduate program will prepare you for certification as a P–12 health and physical education teacher. Courses include everything from health and nutrition to the physiology of exercise and the sociology of sport. We’ll make sure you’re ready for every aspect of the job, so you can start making a difference in young people’s lives.

Classes in our department will help you learn you the right skills for the subject matter and age of students you’d like to teach. Outside the classroom, the Kentucky Education Association Student Program can help you expand your skills to become the best possible teacher you can be.
