Chemistry Major for Pre-Med and Pre-Dental Students
Courses listed satisfy a chemistry premedical or predental curriculum, a biology minor, and specific university studies requirements. A baccalaureate degree requires 120 hours, so you will need to take additional courses besides those listed. Additional courses must include three university studies electives that will complete university studies requirements.
A biology minor is strongly recommended. BIO 115, 216 and 221 or 222 are required for the minor. “BIOxxx” can be almost any biology course at the 300 level or above. Recommended biology courses supporting the premedical/predental major include BIO 300, 320, 321, 322,323, 333 and 421.
If you do not take CHE 530, you must take an alternate three-hour chemistry course.
MAT 135 is recommended for MCAT preparation.
