The business administration program prepares students for a variety of career opportunities. It provides students with a broad overall understanding of the different functional disciplines of business and prepares them for positions of responsibility in business organizations. A major in business administration is offered for those students wishing to minor in an area outside of business.
The programs in Business Administration at Murray State University provide the graduate with a variety of career options. The programs prepare the student for positions in middle- and upper-level management where knowledge of many fields is a necessity for advancement. The varied background offered by he business administration programs is also helpful to entrepreneurial students who wish to start their own business. From a "Mom and Pop" retail store to a multinational corporation, graduates of the business administration programs from MSU will be prepared for whatever the future holds.

Dual Degree Programs in St Etienne, France
Murray State University students in the Area in Business Administration program may complete a dual degree program with the Ėcole Supėrieure de Commerce in Saint Etienne, France. In this program, students will complete a year of academic study at ESC-St Etienne and receive a Bachelor degree from that institution when they are awarded a BAB/BSB in Business Administration from Murray State. These students would then hold degrees from both institutions. The ESC-St Etienne courses in this program are taught in English.
This program also allows Murray State students to study for a semester at ESC-St Etienne as exchange students without earning a dual degree.
Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business strongly encourages students in its business programs to study abroad. The courses marked with an asterisk are commonly taught in summer study abroad
programs such as KIIS and CCSA and each fall in the Semester in Regensburg program in Germany. BPA 396: Seminar in International Business, a business elective, is frequently taught in all these settings as well as in the International Business Seminar programs over the Christmas break and in the summer. ACC 586: International Experience in Accounting is routinely offered over Spring Break as an Accounting Elective. Consult your academic advisor to determine the study abroad opportunity which best fits your needs and schedule.
