FAFSA now open for students and families to complete

MURRAY, Ky. – On December 31, 2023, Federal Student Aid launched a soft opening of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form at studentaid.gov.

events/fafsa-support for more information on what to expect during the soft launch. -
The 2024–25 FAFSA form expands eligibility for federal student aid, including Pell Grants, and provides a more streamlined user experience.

Applicants are encouraged to be patient when completing the 2024-25 FAFSA during this soft launch period. Those who visit the site during a pause should check back later to access the form.

Murray State University will not receive student FAFSA information until late January or early February 2024.

Students and families should use Murray State code 001977 when completing the FAFSA.
Prospective students who are interested in joining the Racer family can learn more, schedule an on-campus or virtual visit, and apply for admission at admissions.murraystate.edu. The 2023-2024 freshman class is the largest in Murray State history, while overall enrollment is the largest since 2017.
