Marquette Transportation Company has established the Marquette Transportation Company Computer Science Scholarship at Murray State University to support students from the Jackson Purchase region pursuing degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS).
Murray State University is honoring the longstanding service and generosity of Herman Eddie Roberts, Jr. Post 6291 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Wisdom Tree Technologies (WTT) through the naming of the Herman Eddie Roberts, Jr. Post 6291 Veteran and Military Student Success Lounge in Blackburn Science Building room 444.
This week would have been Beatrice Cornwell’s 85th birthday, and Murray State University is announcing a generous estate gift of $277,670.25 to support the Beatrice Johnson Cornwell Scholarship, creating a lasting source of financial assistance for non-traditional students pursuing their degrees through the Murray State University Paducah Regional Campus.
Murray State University welcomed 337 scholars representing 89 counties across the Commonwealth for the Governor’s Scholars Program June 21-July 25.
The Murray State University Office of Development reports more than $7.6 million in new documented commitments for future support and a record $13.9 million in cash gifts received from nearly 3,500 individual donors. More than $2.7 million of those gifts will directly support students through scholarships, helping make a Murray State education more affordable and accessible.
