What to Expect at Admitted Student Weekend

By Brandon Anderson | Jan 26, 2022

In February 2015, I was a high school senior getting ready to attend college. At the time, my family and I went to Admitted Student Open House at Murray State, where I got to see a sneak preview of what college would be like for me at Murray State.  I left this event completely sold on MSU and began counting down the days until my orientation session.

Through the years, this event has evolved – since 2015 we have added Q&A sessions, tours, meals, movies, etc.  Much like this, my love for Murray State has also grown.  From a high school student unsure of what college would look like, I have been a student at Murray State, a graduate at Murray State, a Racer fan at Murray State, and now I am proud to be a staff member in the Office of Recruitment at Murray State.

Admitted Student Weekend 2022

Admitted Student Weekend is a flexible event where you can attend as much or as little as you like according to your schedule.  This event will take place over the weekend of February 4-6th.  Students and their guests are invited to join us on campus at Murray State to get questions answered, attend personalized sessions with student life and academic departments, and receive tours of campus.  Students who attend will also receive priority registration opportunities for Racer Nation Orientation, where students register for classes ahead of beginning classes in the fall.  Whether you are sure that Murray State is your college of choice, or you are still weighing your options, this is the perfect event for you, and I encourage you to register today.  Admitted Student Weekend is free, and the schedule is loaded full of options for those planning to attend.

I encourage you to register today and see how you can grow with Murray State.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
