RN to BSN
Dear Prospective RN BSN Student,
Welcome to Murray State University! The School of Nursing is committed to meeting the health care needs of the region and wishes to assist you in advancing your nursing education. Greater numbers of registered nurses are enrolling in higher education courses to obtain a Bachelor in Science of Nursing (BSN) Degree, and we are very pleased that you are considering Murray State University (MSU). We are here to assist you!
Whether you want to enhance your leadership potential and skills, earn a promotion, or gain personal satisfaction, MSU’s CCNE accredited RN BSN Program can help you to achieve your goals. The purposes of the RN BSN Program are to: a) prepare a liberally educated individual; b) prepare a professional graduate who practices as a generalists, and c) prepare one who is qualified to pursue graduate study in nursing. The convenience of Murray State University’s RN BSN Program allows the working nurse to achieve professional and educational goals in a very reasonable accelerated timeframe.
Murray State University is known nationally for its excellent academic programs. The Office of Regional Academic Outreach was organized to extend the boundaries of the institution beyond the traditional classroom and main campus. Offered in an online format, the RN BSN Program provides an opportunity for the intellectual growth of adult learners who find it impossible to come to the main campus for study and coursework.
The RN BSN Program assumes students have completed an Associate Degree in Nursing and hold state licensure prior to admission. You may visit the Murray State University website http://www.murraystate.edu/ and the RN BSN Program website http://www.murraystate.edu/academics/CollegesDepartments/nursing-and-health-professions/nursing/RNtoBSN/index.aspx to learn more.
If you need assistance or have unanswered questions following your visit to the websites, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Again, thank you for your consideration in Murray State University’s RN BSN Program.
Best wishes in your educational pursuit,
