Meet Our Staff!

Matt Purdy
Director
Career Services
Mr. Purdy hails from Chillicothe, Illinois. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. His first job was at McDonald's. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, tackling DIY projects, golfing, reading, and working out. His best career advice is to seek out ways to stretch yourself professionally and regularly step out of your comfort zone.
Sela Bailey
Employer Relations Coordinator

Ms. Sela is from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She Holds a Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Her first job was at Academy Sports and Outdoors. In her free time, Sela enjoys hanging out with her family, trying new recipes, watching movies, and making crafts. Her best career advice is to absorb all the skills and information that you can on a job because they can be transferred into other career opportunities you might not have started in.
Hannah Bilger
Career Development & Experience Coordinator

Hannah Bilger earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications and Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Throughout her career, she has been focused on community engagement, relationship building, and developing programs that create positive outcomes for individuals and families. She is passionate about serving others, fostering meaningful connections, and making a lasting impact in the communities she serves.

Tara Siress
Career Counselor

Ms. Siress is from Pope County in Southern Illinois. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, both from Murray State University. Her first job was at Hardee's. In her free time, Tara enjoys reading, hiking, and exploring historic towns and homes. Her best career advice is to view all career experiences as valuable, because they are likely preparing you for your future endeavors.

Kassia Tucker
Administrative Assistant

Ms. Tucker is from Murray, Kentucky. She holds an Associate of Arts degree and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Integrated Studies in the field of Communication from Murray State University. Her career journey began as a part-time retail sales associate at a clothing store called Fashion Bug. In her free time, Kassia enjoys watching and attending sporting events, traveling, and reading. Her best career advice is to always send a thank you note or email after an interview. Following up with this small gesture may be the tiebreaker between you and another equally qualified candidate.

Lily

Lily is an AgriScience/Agribusiness major with an emphasis on Marketing and Management. Some of her hobbies include playing pickleball, watching Dancing With the Stars, and going to Texas Roadhouse with her friends. Lily's favorite thing about Murray State is all of the kind people who make it feel like home.

Hannah

Hannah B. is majoring in Public & Community Health. Hannah's first job was working at the Grand American for the American Trapshooting Association. Her favorite hobbies are hiking and reading. Hannah's favorite thing about Murray State University is how beautiful the campus is in the fall!
