Biography

April Webb was born and raised in Florida. She moved to Murray in 2025 to join the Art and Design faculty at Murray State University. Webb is a multimedia artist whose work focuses on women’s invisibility with an emphasis on labor hierarchies and gendered labor. She previously worked for Florida State University as MFA Studio Facilities Manager, BFA Studio Facilities Manager, BFA Coordinator, and as an Instructor in the Foundations, Painting and Drawing, and BFA programs. Webb earned her undergraduate degrees from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL, and her MFA from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Her work has been shown both nationally and internationally, with notable exhibitions at the UCF Art Gallery, the Rollins Museum of Art, IA&A at Hillyer, and the Czong Institute of Contemporary Art.
