Crisis Communications

The University has a variety of resources to quickly notify and protect the campus community in emergency situations including text message alerts, e-mail, social media, local news media outlets, and the use of the University website,, for special alerts. All crises are different in scope and can happen very quickly.

The Office of Branding, Marketing and Communication is responsible for official University communication. All media inquiries must be coordinated with the Office of Branding, Marketing and Communication. Only the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication or other assigned University spokespeople can offer an official University statement.
