Dr. Ben Littlepage, professor in the Department of Educational Studies, Leadership and Counseling at Murray State University, has been elected chair of the Board of Trustees for the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Kentucky (TRS), placing him at the helm of one of the nation's strongest public pension systems serving Kentucky's public educators.
Dr. Christopher Craig, Tom W. Hutchens Endowed Professor of Management at Murray State University, recently became the editor-in-chief of two international journals with the recent launch of STEM Education, Teaching and Learning (SETL), a new international, peer-reviewed journal published by Emerald Publishing that advances rigorous, evidence-based scholarship focused on improving STEM teaching and learning.
The Murray State University Office of Development reports more than $7.6 million in new documented commitments for future support and a record $13.9 million in cash gifts received from nearly 3,500 individual donors. More than $2.7 million of those gifts will directly support students through scholarships, helping make a Murray State education more affordable and accessible.
