The Schanbacher Character Scholarship Endowment was established by gifts to the Murray State University Foundation, Inc. (MSU Foundation) from Dr. Eugene & Mrs. Priscilla Schanbacher to recognize and reward young people who possess high moral character; to help develop and promote higher character and integrity in student’s lives; and to provide financial assistance to post-secondary students, who may not otherwise be able to attend college.
The annual Patterns of Distinction – Security Matters Conference took place on April 20 in the Curris Center at Murray State University, with more than 200 industry leaders, students, and staff attending the conference.

Approximately 3,900 university students and faculty members from across the United States and abroad, including a team from Murray State University, recently attended the National Model United Nations (MUN) Conference to discuss current global issues in a real-world context.
