Areas of Study

Every Art degree has a common core that builds your skills in studio art, art history, and professional practices. From there, you’ll choose a studio area of emphasis that lets you focus your practice and grow a body of work that reflects your artistic voice while you complete track specific courses. Our flexible curriculum allows you to take courses across the department—even outside your emphasis or degree track—so you can discover new interests and expand your artistic perspective.

Minors & Certificates

You can complete a minor or certificate to broaden your creative toolkit and strengthen your job readiness. These options let you explore new areas of interest, build skills, and expand your marketability as you prepare for a wide range of careers in the arts and beyond.
