2026 Wellness Pledge

2025 WELLNESS PLEDGE

Earn $250 incentive upon completion of Phase 1 & Phase 2 

Starting in 2026, penalties will be removed from the Wellness Pledge. Incentive payments will be received at the end of each phase upon successful completion.

If Phase 1 is not completed, participants will not move to Phase 2 and will not receive the $150 incentive payment. If Phase 2 is not completed, participants will not receive the $100 incentive payment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in Murray State’s health plan - AND -
  • Must elect Pledge during Open Enrollment 2026.
  • Participants who do not complete Phase 1 will not be eligible for Phase 2.
  • Participants must be employed to receive payment.

Phase 1: January 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026 

  • Complete and/or attend 4 Racer Wellness sanctioned events, activities and screenings.

  • Phase 1 Deadline: May 31, 2026 • $150 paid in June 2026 for successful completion of Phase 1*
    (10/11-month pay EEs will receive Phase 1 payment in August 2026)
    *Phase 1 incentive payment: Participants must be employed in June 2026 to receive payment.

  • Upon completetion, HDHP plan members will receive $150 in their HSA account.

  • Upon completion, PPO plan members will receive a $150 discount as a paycheck addition.

Phase 1 Options

You must complete and/or attend 4 Racer Wellness sanctioned events, activities and screenings during January 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026 (with the exception of preventive screenings that backdate to June 1, 2025). This list may be added to throughout the year.

2026 Wellness Pledge Screening Requirements:

  1. Screenings can be filed through Murray State or non-Murray State benefit plans.
  2. Screenings must take place between June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026.
  3. Pledge participants will complete the affidavit form and upload it to their Sonic Boom Wellness account in order to receive Phase 1 credit for the 2026 Pledge. 

Acceptable Preventive Screenings 

  • Annual wellness visit
  • Cervical cancer screening (women's exam)
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Colon cancer screening
  • Dental examination
  • Dermatology skin screening
  • Diabetes screening
  • Heel scan bone density screening
  • Mammogram
  • Prostate cancer screening (PSA)
  • Vision screening
  • Kentucky Quit Line is available to Murray State University faculty and staff at no cost. Completion of the program will count for a sanctioned event for the Wellness Pledge. Call 1.800.QUIT.NOW (1-800-784-8669). They will provide an intake and set up a schedule for the calls. 
  • Upload documentation of completion from the course instructor.

Complete two of the many available training courses on the Wayne Corporation website.

1. Access the Wayne Corporation website, login or create a login and click on “training courses”.
2. Upload the certificate of completion (generated at the end) for each course for Wellness Pledge credit to your Sonic Boom portal.

Support your community and earn credit by donating blood. You can provide proof of donation in one of two ways:

  • Option 1: Print out the blood donation form found in your Sonic Boom portal, have it signed by a representative at your donation site, and upload the completed form here.
  • Option 2: Use the appointment screening confirmation from your Red Cross app as proof of donation and upload a screenshot here.

 

Complete 6 Hinge Health Sessions

  • 6 sessions must be completed between January 1, 2026 - May 31, 2026 to count for one event for Phase 1.
  • Visit the Hinge Health website to learn more and sign up.
  • Upon completion of your 6 sessions, visit your Sonic Boom portal to fill out the information for each session and submit.

Primary Care Provider (PCP) Campaign

September 1,  2026 - September 30, 2026 

We are asking faculty and staff to consider establishing a PCP. The campaign includes the following options:

  • Choosing a provider and scheduling an appointment for a preventive screening that is needed for you.
  • If you already have a PCP, determine if you are up to date on all preventive screenings. If you are behind on a screening, contact your provider to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are taking the 2026 Wellness Pledge, this campaign will count for Phase 2 by completing the Primary Care Provider Campaign form.
