Advising typically begins in the first week of November to register for spring semester classes, in the first week of December to register for winter classes and in the first week of April to register for summer and fall classes.
To know who your advisor is, go to myGate and click on the academics tab. Your academic advisor is listed under the student information section. Your advisor will help you select classes and provide guidance for any academic concerns you may have.
To learn what classes are necessary for your organizational communication major or minor, or sports communication minor, visit the academic bulletin. For more information about academic advising, visit the University’s academic advising webpage.
The Department of Organizational Communication and Leadership follows APA formatting. Having a copy of the APA Publication Manual will be helpful to use throughout your college career. The Purdue Online Writing Lab also offers a free online APA style guide.
