Admission requirements

Meet the Murray State University admission requirements.

For admission, students must meet one of the following requirements:

• Master’s degree or doctoral-level degree from an accredited institution OR
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Applicants who do not meet the above GPA will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the OSH Graduate Admission Committee.

Total Certificate Requirements (12 hours)

Complete twelve (12) hours in one of the following concentrations to fulfill and receive a professional certificate in that focus area. 

Safety Management Concentration / Certificate: (12 hours)

• OSH 646 Fundamentals of Risk Management
• OSH 656 Ergonomics and Biomechanics

Industrial Hygiene Concentration / Certificate: (12 hours)

• OSH 626 Air Sampling and Statistical Analysis
• OSH 627 Air Permitting and Pollution Control

Environmental Health and Safety Concentration / Certificate: (12 hours)
