Peggy Whaley is the Director of the Office of Student Engagement and Success at Murray State University. She also serves as the coordinator of the student success seminar and coordinator of first-year experiences and resources for the University. She received her M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership (1997) and B.S. in Agricultural Education (1995) from Colorado State University. Peggy has been a teacher, advisor, and advocate for student success for over 15 years both at Murray State University and at Colorado State University.

about Kate

Kate Johnson is the Coordinator in the Office of Student Engagement and Success. In this role she will be assisting with undeclared advising, mentoring, teaching IDC 100T, working with Great Beginnings Leaders and other retention initiatives. Prior to Murray State, she worked in human resources for five years. For the past nine years, she has worked in higher education as an online admissions counselor, athletic academic advisor, and Director of the Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center at Eastern Kentucky University. Most recently Kate worked in the Office of Alumni Relations at Murray State University. She earned her B.S. in Management from Eastern Kentucky University (2002) and her M.S. in Higher Education: College Student Affairs from the University of Kentucky (2008). Kate has a passion for working with college students and helping them navigate their way through college to achieve their goals and aspirations.
